Artwork collections are exhibited in the painting and sculpture museum opened by Türkiye İş Bankası in Taksim.

Türkiye İş Bankası Painting and Sculpture Museum was opened on October 29, 2023 in the historical Boudouy (Bodvi) Apartment located on İstiklal Cad. No: 144.

The museum building, dating back to 1907, became the property of Türkiye İş Bankası in 1950 and served as the bank's Beyoğlu Branch between 1953 and 2016. İş Bankası made the decision to reorganize the building as an art museum in 2008. The cessation of activities carried out in the branch and the start of comprehensive restoration work were possible in 2020.

The building was restored and converted into a museum by architects Ertuğ Uçar and Mehmet Kütükçüoğlu between 2020-2023. The museum was founded by architects and art historians Gül İrepoğlu is a curator and museologist. Burçak Madran served as a consultant. The opening was held on Republic Day 2023 as a gift for the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey.

The museum's founding curator and art historian Prof. Dr. Gül İrepoğlu, made a statement to AA about the works in the museum and said, "These are very valuable works. It is a collection that has been brought together with great awareness since 1940. There are very striking works in it. There is Osman Hamdi Bey's 'After Iftar' painting, Şeker Ahmet Paşa's Quince Still Life. There are Süleyman Seyit, Hoca Ali Rıza. "

İrepoğlu stated that the works of painters from the 1914 generation will also be exhibited in the museum, and that works by important names such as İbrahim Çanlı, Feyhaman Duran, Hikmet Onat, Namık İsmail, Hüseyin Avni Lifij and Sami Yetik are among these works .

The museum building regularly monitors ground movements using two earthquake sensors located at its foundation. The devices automatically record ground tremors during a possible earthquake and then compare these values with the building's design values .

The heating and cooling system design of the museum building also consists of devices that comply with current technology and have international tests and certificates, in line with İş Bankası's sustainability goals.

The historical doors in the building were also included in this process and repaired, turning them into a work of art by painter Fevzi Karakoç.

The building, which is one of the valuable elements of Beyoğlu's cultural identity, consists of 6 floors, one of which is a terrace, as well as a basement and ground floor. Each floor has differently named rooms and works of art. The museum contains around 2,700 works, including nearly 600 selected from the Türkiye İş Bankası Artworks Collection .
